About Us

Masham steam rally is now in its 42nd year and is one of the longer running rallies on the national scene. It was started by a legendary group of Masham people in 1965 to try & raise money for the local Town Hall and it has gone from strength to strength from then on. The organisers, Masham Town Hall Association, are a registered charity and all money raised is used for our Town Hall upkeep & to help various groups & organisations in the town.

We still have people helping who helped with the 1st & 2nd rallies. The rally is part of the town’s heritage & the road run from the rally field to the town on the Saturday evening is well worth seeing.
